As a Databases Engineer, you will collaborate with customers and internal teams to migrate large-scale databases, implement security best practices, and optimize performance. The role also involves working on data governance, troubleshooting, and delivering technical workshops for customer success.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
✅ Database Solutions & Advisory: Work closely with stakeholders to recommend scalable and cost-effective database solutions.
✅ Data Migration & Modernization: Lead high-velocity database migrations to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Google and third-party tools.
✅ Data Quality & Governance: Implement data accuracy and security measures to ensure seamless operations.
✅ Troubleshooting & Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve database-related performance issues.
✅ Project Management: Organize project requirements, define clear objectives, and manage internal and external stakeholders.
🔹 Minimum Qualifications
✔ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
✔ Hands-on experience with popular DBMS such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
✔ Proficiency in Java, Python, and writing SQL & PL/SQL queries.
✔ Experience in database migration strategies for large enterprises.
✔ Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
🔹 Preferred Qualifications
✔ Experience in large-scale data migrations using various tools.
✔ Knowledge of Cloud Native Databases like Cloud Spanner, BigTable, and AlloyDB.
✔ Ability to troubleshoot database issues efficiently.
✔ Understanding of encryption techniques (HSMs, Key Management Systems).
✔ Strong grasp of database design, data modeling, and security protocols.
